It is with special pride that Cecil W.Powell & Company has been the agent and producer of record for Miller Electric Company, one of the largest electrical contractors in the Southeast, since 1935 - one of our earliest major clients.

We are particularly honored to have written and handled insurance programs for Gate Petroleum Company since its president, Mr. Herbert H. Peyton, Jr., began the company with a single gasoline service station in the 1960's. From that beginning, Gate has grown into a major business conglomerate with subsidiary operations in a wide variety of business and industrial fields, and Cecil W.Powell & Company has been favored to handle the insurance needs of all these subsidiaries.

A source of special pride was the choice of Cecil W.Powell & Company by the Jacksonville Electric Authority to handle a complete Wrap-Up Insurance Program for construction of its new Northside Generating Station, at St. Johns Power Park on Heckscher Drive. This project was completed in 1987, at a cost exceeding one billion, six hundred million dollars.
